オンライン配信タイトルについては、『PlayStation HALL』の脇にある4つのディスプレイとPS3でプレイできました。列に並んで順番が来るとPS3にインストールされている、「Flower（仮）」「ラグドールカンフー」「WipEout HD」「Mr.PAIN」「ゴミ箱 -GOMIBAKO-」「Linger in Shadows」の6タイトルからプレイしたいタイトルを選ぶという形です。傍には綺麗なSCEJのお姉さんスタッフがついて、操作法やゲームのポイントを優しく教えてくれます。

といっても「Flower」の操作は非常に簡単！
プレイする前に渡された操作方法を見てみると"SELECT"と"START"以外のボタンは全て同じ動作をするとのことで、ボタン操作については何も覚える必要はありませんでした。
それでもお姉さんは優しく手順どおり教えてくれますｗ

このゲームは"一枚の花びら"になることから始まって、広い大草原に吹く風に乗って自由自在に飛び回ってどこまでも続く草原を進んでいく････というもので、その操作に必要なのは"進む"ためのボタンと"方向を決める"コントローラーの6軸操作だけです。なので余計な説明も要りません。プレイを開始したらステージを選択して（7ステージ存在するらしいですが今回選べるのは1ステージのみ）すぐに始められます。

ボタンを押して風に乗って進み、コントローラーを傾けて感覚的に漂って行く････すると途中で草原には花のつぼみが各所にあるのでそこに向かってみます。それに触れる事でその花はつぼみから開花し、操作する花びらに一枚（数枚？）加わるのです。

このゲームの目的は、そんなつぼみが集まったポイントの花を全て開花させることによって開放することで次の（見えない壁の先）フィールドに進んでいくという非常にシンプルなもの。
しかしそのシンプルさの中で、気持ちのいい開放感ある空間の中を風で漂う爽快感というものがあり、これがなかなかクセになります。画面には余計な表示は一切無く、流れているBGMは非常に静かで自然的なもの。ヒーリング効果はかなりのものでしょうｗ

とにかく斬新で、プレイする人によって違う感覚や気持ちになる非常に自由な発想を生むように作られているなぁと感じました。また開発者のケリーさんによれば各ステージによってそれぞれテーマが違うそうです。

そう言われると、このゲーム性で他にどんなアプローチを仕掛けてくるのか、楽しみになってきます。美しい映像と音楽、シンプルな操作が生み出す独特な雰囲気は他にはないだけにこれは発売が楽しみなタイトルとなりました。
PS3が生み出す、俗に言う"カジュアルゲー"はセンスの部分から際立っていている上に、HDビジュアルと多様性が効くハード要素というのが本当に理想的な形で成り立っているなと感じます。PSN配信タイトルというのも上手くハマりますしね。

そう再認識させてくれたというだけでもこのプレイアブルの価値は高かったなぁと思う次第！

DLゲーだから激しいゲームの後に、Flowerで即リラックス・・・
いつかこんな時代も来ますね、えぇ。
2009年に延期になった時は、顔面蒼白ブルーレイだったけど
これから始まるソフトラッシュを考えると延期してくれて助かったかも知れません。
やっぱり、ケリーさんは偉大ね。
