PS3『KILLZONE 2』：DLC第2弾"Flash & Thunder"発表

「KILLZONE 2」のマップパックDLCの第2弾が正式に発表されました。

収録されるマップは"Beach Head"と"The Southern Hills"の2種類で、前作PS2「KILLZONE」のマップをPS3「KILLZONE2」用エンジンでリメイクしたデザインになっています。この「Flash & Thunder」は6月11日に$5.99で配信されるとのこと（海外）。
以下トレイラーです。

ヴェクタの海岸が舞台となる"Beach Head"は強風と激しい雨が降り注ぐ景観の中でISA側はヘルガストの上陸を阻止することになります。激しい接近戦が予想されるマップのようで、敵背後に忍び寄り至近距離で制圧する･･･というような機会も起こりうる。また狙撃に適したポイントも用意されているとか。


"The Southern Hills"は丘の上にあるヘルガストベースを中心に構築されたマップ。壁に囲まれた地形、長距離間での射撃ポイントなど24～32人プレイヤーに適したスケールで、ベースになっている前作「KILLZONE」のマップよりベースキャンプがより強化された構造になっているとのこと。気になるのはトレイラーにもあるISA巡洋艦による砲撃による衝撃波。これにより屋外での行動は油断できない戦いとなりそうです。

このマップパックはかなり面白そう。スケールの大きなマップが増えるのは嬉しいですね。"The Southern Hillsはピュロス ライズ（Pyrrhus Rise）並、もしくはそれ以上のものかも？スナイパーはもちろん、大規模な地形を走り回るのが好きなプレイヤーには待望のマップかも。前作のマップをリメイクということで"Guerrilla Games"も気合いが入っているようですし、楽しみです。

ただ国内では未だに第一弾"Steel&Titaninum（スチール&チタン）"も配信されていません(5月28日配信)が、DLC自体は一ヶ月遅れ、またトロフィーリストだけ先行で更新されるのでしょうか･･･どうしてもこの日本版への対応の遅れっぷりだけが気になってしまいます。熱心なファンには遅れてもプレイしたい気持ちは変わりませんが、こういうのは旬である内に配信しないと確実に関心あるプレイヤーは減っていきますからね･･･非常に勿体無い。
