PS3 v3.00 - 遂に"DTCP-IP"機能実装へ！そして...　[PLAYSTATION3] [編集]

新型"PlayStation 3"(CECH-2000シリーズ)の9月3日発売に合わせて9月1日からリリースとなるPS3の最新システムソフトウェアv3.00にて、「DTCP-IP」対応となることがAVwatchの記事より明らかになりました。

◆新PS3は、TrueHD/DTS-HD MAのビットストリーム出力対応
－旧モデルも含めファーム3.00でDTCP-IP対応

記事冒頭で触れられているドルビーTrueHD、およびDTS-HD MAのビットストリーム出力対応の件は既にAllAboutの加藤氏の記事で明らかになっていたんですが、DTCP-IP対応については一切明らかになっていませんでした。

ロスレス音声のビットストリーム出力はできたらいいのにとずっと言われていたもので、LPCMで出力するとジッターの影響で音質が低下するとか言われてたり、一方ではPS3のCellでLPCMデコードした方が精度が良いと言われてたり、利用するAVアンプの違いで僅かに変わる程度だと思われるので正直自分にはあまり重要なものではない･･･というか自分の耳スペックでは聴いても違いは分かりませんｗそしてこのビットストリーム出力はハードウェア実装のため従来のPS3では利用できません。

なのでどちらかというとやはり今回嬉しいのは念願とも言える"DTCP-IP機能"の実現！
････かつてAVwatch・西田氏のSCEのなかのひと突撃インタビューにてこんなやり取りがありました。

－DTCP-IPについての対応が望まれています。この点はどうですか?

梅村：そうですよね。要望は理解しており、実現に向けて検討しています。ただし、様々な事情により、現時点でも実現できていない、とだけコメントさせてください。

技術的には既に難しくなかったであろうDTCP-IP機能の実装が遅れていたのには、SONY内部での（"横"の連携が難しいだとか）大人の事情があると言われていました。この後も何度かアップデートがあり他AV機能の充実は進んでもこのDTCP-IPだけはなかなか実装されることはありませんでした。ですが今こうしてようやく実装、きっと裏では色々頑張ったんでしょうね････。

この機能はそもそもPS3が家庭内（ローカル）・メディアネットワークの要となるための、PSの父・久夛良木氏の構想のひとつだったはずなのでここでそれがようやく実現できたことにもなり、大変めでたいことなんですよね。これまでは無理だったローカルネットワーク上にある地デジの録画コンテンツもこれでPS3で自由に再生できます。PS3のAV機能最後の壁ともされてたりと今回それが超えられたことはPS3の価値がさらに高まったと言えるんじゃないでしょうか。

その他、「各出力端子に音声を同時出力」機能なんかも非常に嬉しい追加。
メインの［音声出力設定］で設定した端子以外では2ch音声に制限されるようですが、スピーカー出力とヘッドホン出力を切り替えるのにいちいち設定変更する手間が省けます。

ここまでの機能を"無料のアップデート"でサポートし続けてきたというのが本当に凄い。
いまだかつてこんな素晴らしいアップデートサポートを見た事があるだろうか･･･
もう要望のほとんどは実現され、ここであえて挙げる要望も無くなって来た。
あとは････BDMV・1080iのプログレ化とかかな？

AV機能はいらないからゲーム面でのアップデートでPS2互換を復活させろなんて声もありますが、自分はPS2互換はソフトウェアアップデートで近い将来実現すると思ってます。個人的にはPS3のタイトルも十分に拡充されていると思いますし、そこまで重要じゃないんですがやはり需要がある機能であるのは確か。プレイできるという事そのものより、PS2タイトルのアプコン品質が優れていることからやっぱり"ないよりはあった方がいい"とは思ってしまいますしね。なんら確証もない話ですが･･･ここを中途半端に放置するSONYじゃない、とこれまでのアップデートの実績がそう思わせます。それに特許やらなんやらで水面下で動いている節があるのは明らか･･･

◆ソニー：PS3にPS2互換は復活しません。将来も。

話題になったSCEAからのコメントですが、むしろこういう返答って"フラグ"ですよね。
発表前からダダ漏れだった薄型PS3についての対応、ついこの間のCEOのストリンガー氏とActivisionのやり取り。この流れを経て今、互換復活はありません、はいそうですかと諦める？いやいや････むしろ期待しちゃうね(　ﾟдﾟ)

うっす！お久しぶり！
先日PS3が逝ったkoko１です(症状はツヨポンと同じ)

今回のアップデートは大掛かりなもんになるとは聞いていたけどなるほどねー(笑)

PS2互換は未だPS3タイトルにさして魅力を感じてないモノにとっては必須な機能なんで、中の人達にはガンバってもらいたいものてますな。

今回のアップデートは裏でも色々細かい調整が入ってるようで
メジャーアップデートに、"3.00"に相応しいものですねー。

PS2互換があるとアーカイブスみたいにフルダウンロードでPS2のソフトが･･･
なんてこともできるので期待はしたいんですよね。
きっと今頃SCEのソフトウェア開発精鋭部隊が頑張ってくれてるはず！

と勝手に思っておきましょう(´・ω・｀)
