PS3・Xbox360「OPERATION FLASHPOINT : DRAGON RISING」（以下、OFP:DR）の最新スクリーンショットと開発者コメンタリー動画がIGNにて公開されています。

今はFPSジャンルというと「CoD:MW2」の話題で持ちきりですが、この「OFP:DR」はよりリアル系に寄ったタイトルで様々な挙動や武器動作、ダメージ判定などがシビアだったりと戦場のリアリティをより追求した、「KILLZONE2」や「MW2」とはまた違うゲーム性で楽しめるFPSタイトル。

前作の「Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis」（PCのみ）はプレイしたことがないので動画でしか知らないのですが、その前作の開発を担当したBIS（Bohemia Interactive Studio）は既に独自IPで別のタイトル（ARMA 2 ）を開発しており、今回の「OFP:DR」は前作からのパブリッシャーであるコードマスターズ（Codemasters）が自社で開発しているタイトルになります。「OFP:CWC」は軍事用のシミュレータとしても利用されたりとそのリアル再現っぷりには定評があったようですが、元々コードマスターズにはカジュアル系（リアル系とスポーツ系の中間的な感じ）要素も入れたいという意向もあるのか、今作は前作よりも万人向けに作られているように思えます。とはいえ広大でシームレスなバトルフィールドや、部位ダメージシステム、銃器挙動などリアリティに関しては恐らくこの手のゲームではトップレベルで間違いない。

コードマスターズが自社開発に使用するマルチプラットフォーム対応「EGO エンジン」は同社から発売されている「Race Driver: GRID」や「Colin McRae: DiRT 2」でも評判が良く、クオリティに関しては心配する点はないですね。

本作は本当に野心溢れるタイトルで、 私たちの技術はユニークで、また私たちのストリーミング技術は他に勝るものはないでしょう。と色々自信たっぷりのようですが、ビジュアルはかなりのクオリティに達していて、ゲームシステム自体も動画が出るたびに面白そうになっているので期待は増します。国内でももっと注目されて欲しいですね･･･。

最も楽しみなのはこのリアルさの中でのオンライン協力プレイ。
仲間とジリジリ攻めて行く緊張感とか想像しただけで･･･ｺﾞｸﾘ

海外では10月6日発売、日本での発売は今秋の予定だったのですが延びて今冬となっています。国内では長い間続報がないのですが開催が迫る東京ゲームショウではプレイアブル出展されるようなので、しっかりプレイしてきます。

あと何気に本作は日本版の吹き替えに魅力があったりします。
いつもなら吹き替えなんてゴメンだ！なんて思ってますがこのメンツの豪華さを見たらｱﾆｦﾀ的に期待せずにはいられません。既に、大塚明夫氏、東地宏樹氏、平田広明氏、杉田智和氏、中井和哉氏、岡本信彦氏などの実力派声優が吹き替えを担当することが発表されています。スネークとドレイクの中の人共演は見モノです(　ﾟдﾟ)

そうそう･･･声優陣といえば･･･「MGS:PW」も凄いことになってますね･･･！
