PS3『MGS4』：マスターアップした今、振り返る

体調が少し良くなったと思ってMGOをプレイしてきたら頭痛が･･･
今度の風邪はちと手強いようで、未だ喉が痛くて声も出ません(；´Д｀)

こうして自分が風邪で弱ってる間の5月2日に無事『METAL GEAR SOLID 4』がマスターアップとなったわけですが、いよいよ発売まで一ヶ月弱！今回は全世界同時発売ということで色々苦労も多かったでしょうね。何度も延期してその度に溜息つきながら待ち続けていましたが、今ようやくパッケージとなって我々の手に届く最終段階に入ったわけです。
めでたいのは勿論ですが、“待つ楽しみ”があるのは今だけ！振り返る意味で今までのシリーズを復習プレイしたりもするでしょう。自分もPSで発売された『MGS』をアーカイブスで購入してクリアしましたが、この復習が『MGS4』をプレイした時思わぬ感動を呼ぶかも･･･？

厳しい寒さと降り積もる雪････シャドーモセス。
上トレイラーの最後で細いわき道を抜けた先に見えたモノはHDグラフィックにリファインされたシャドーモセスの施設で、スネーク自身も急激な老化が進む前の若い姿であるが･･･。『MGS4』本編内で幾度もこのような回想シーン・プレイがあるとなるとそれはどのくらいの量になり、どの程度時を遡る事になるのでしょう。もしかしたら懐かしのボス達と再戦もあるのかもしれません。そして“ソリッド・スネークがMGS4になって突然CQCを扱う事になる理由”というのはこの要素を利用するのかも？

もっとも、この回想プレイというものがどれほどの規模になるかは分かりませんが、もしそれが頻繁に投入され、過去のシリーズ要所が網羅されているレベルの話になってくると“Blu-rayDiscというメディアを使いながら容量が足らない”という事態にも納得がいくような気もしますね(　ﾟдﾟ)
