iPhoneの新サービスとか

うーん･･･金曜は休み前で気分はそれほど重くないけど色々と大変ですね。
11月になる前に更新しておきたかったのにもう日付変わっちゃったよ(；´∀｀)
というわけでまず一件。たまにはiPhoneの話題でも。LBPの話は後に続きますｗ

先日10月30日に行われたSoftBankの携帯電話秋冬向け新モデル発表会において
iPhone周りで新たな発表が色々ありました。これがなかなか面白い。

というわけでちょっとピックアップしてみる。

今回発表されたiPhone関連の内容

・「ニコニコ動画ビューワー」がiPhone用に開発中。
・iPhone用新作ゲームアプリに、スクウェアエニックス、セガの新タイトル追加。
・申し込み不要の無料サービス「公衆無線LANし放題」、年内「絵文字実装」が明らかに。
・ワンセグの視聴を可能にする「TV & バッテリー」を発表。

なんと言っても最後の「TV & バッテリー」。これは完全に予想外。
まさかこんな方法でワンセグ機能を追加してくるとは・・・SoftBankもやりおる！

iPhoneのハード仕様とApple製でワールドワイドに展開する端末な事から日本独自にワンセグ追加は難しいだろう、と思っていたらSoftBankが独自に周辺機器チューナーを作ってそこからWi-Fiでデータを飛ばすという荒業（？）を出してきました。

元々Dock接続で直接データを送ることがSDKの仕様上できない（ハズ）もののそこはWi-Fiを使うことでクリア。そしてそのチューナー自体は外部バッテリーとしても利用できるという、なんとも上手いやり方。iPhoneとは別に周辺機器が必要という点でマイナス要素として捉えられるかもしれませんが、そうだとしても実現が難しいとされていた機能をここまでiPhoneの弱点を上手くカバーしながら対応してくるとは･･･正直に賞賛したいものです。

加えて絵文字対応にしても日本のケータイ文化をAppleに直接訴えての実現だそうで。この気合の入れ様は非常に評価できます。出しっぱなしにはせず日本のユーザーのニーズを受け、その良い方向を目指し取り組んで、日本で頑張ってiPhoneを売り出そうとしてる商魂が素晴らしいｗ
よっぽどAppleがSoftBankを選んでくれたことが嬉しかったのか、孫氏もなかなかの働きをしていると感じます。そして他社のスマートフォン導入とか色々注目です。"ガジェット的に見れば"今のSoftBankは非常に魅力的なキャリアになってますね。

まぁ問題は自分はワンセグにも絵文字にも特に興味はないってことで(　ﾟдﾟ)
ニコニコビューワーについてはニコニコが見たい！っていう要望もないけど出れば使いたいという感じ。期待するところはどちらかというとゲーム中心のアプリ周りで、スクエニの参入はちょっと嬉しい。何気にiPhoneにおける"ゲーム"ってのは存在が大きいんです。DSやPSPのようなプラットフォームではなく、まったく違ったアプローチが確実に効いているのでなかなか面白い。ここは語ると長くなるのでまた別の機会があればｗ
